ADA Remediation That Covers the Full Picture

Most commercial properties that call us for ADA work have already received a notice. Requirements aren’t going away, and bringing a property into compliance means addressing more than one element—the ramp, the parking area, and the path connecting them all have to work together. Ace Paving & Maintenance coordinates ADA remediation projects for property managers and facility managers across Metro Atlanta, managing the scope from assessment through completion so nothing gets missed and the work holds up to scrutiny.

Make Sense of Your ADA Remediation Scope Before Work Begins

Ace Paving & Maintenance handles the coordination across concrete and asphalt work, which means you get one point of contact and one accountable party for the full remediation scope.

Concrete Ramp Construction

Concrete is the only material that can be formed and held to the slope tolerances that ADA concrete ramp requirements specify, which is why ramp work is always handled through a concrete crew we coordinate and manage. Scope typically includes sidewalk removal, new ramp forming, concrete placement, and truncated dome installation at each transition.

Accessible Parking, Striping, and Signage

Accessible stalls and access aisles have specific grade, width, and surface requirements that older parking lots frequently don’t meet. We assess existing conditions against current accessible parking requirements, correct asphalt grade and cross-slope issues, coordinate any concrete work required at the edges of the accessible area, and handle the striping and signage that completes it.

Paths of Travel

The route from accessible parking to the building entrance is part of the compliance picture, not just the endpoints. We handle the asphalt portions of that path, coordinate accessible route striping, and make sure the transition between lot surface and ramp connects cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What usually triggers an ADA remediation project?

Most of our ADA calls come after a property has received a citation for noncompliance. In those cases, there’s typically a required remediation timeline and specific elements that have to be addressed. We work from whatever documentation the property has on file and assess anything that isn’t already specified.

Not accurately. Slope tolerances, existing grade conditions, and the relationship between the ramp, parking area, and path of travel all have to be assessed in person before we can give you a reliable scope or number. That’s exactly what the free on-site assessment is for.

In most cases, yes. ADA parking specifications require that accessible routes and stalls remain functional during construction where feasible, and we sequence the work with that in mind. We coordinate with you ahead of time on anything that requires temporary closures so there are no surprises for tenants or visitors.

Anything you have on file is helpful—the citation, any compliance notice from an inspector, existing site plans, or prior remediation work that’s been done on the property. If you don’t have any of that, don’t let it stop you from scheduling. We’ve been assessing commercial properties across Metro Atlanta since 1997, and we can work from what we find on-site when documentation isn’t available.
